Introduction: 

The birth of your baby, whether it is your first, or a happy addition to your family, is always a very personal experience. Striking an essential balance between a supportive, comfortable setting and the assurance of competent medical care, B.D.F Hospital has built a reputation on providing family-oriented care that offers the expectant parent a birth experience that's positive, safe, and warmly remembered.

The numbers of deliveries are increasing over years, because of high quality care provided in the department, inaddition to the facilities, such as, epidural anesthesia in labour.

The department covers high and low risk pregnancies with 24 hours cover for emergency obstetric and gynecology. The consultants managed gynecology cases with facilities of endoscopy. For example, "Colposcopy" for managing abnormal smears, "Hysteroscopy" (diagnostic & operative), and, "Laparoscopy" (diagnostic & operative). The department covers a large number of Gynecology surgeries and Pelvic surgeries. Once or twice a year, visiting surgeons attend Gynecology department for advanced operative "Laparoscopy."

Labor-Delivery-Recovery Rooms:
Our LDR rooms are designed with the comfort of both mom and child in mind. They are equipped with cradles, TVs, soft lighting, and private baths. The rooms also have high-tech birthing beds and state-of-the-art fetal monitors and oxygen equipment.

Patients are provided with "Private Rooms" according to their entitlement.

Nursery:
You may choose to have your baby 'room-in' with you or be cared for by a specially trained nurse while you are resting. The nursery features a complete monitoring system to ensure the safety of your baby.

Caring for You and Your Baby:
The dedicated labor and delivery nurses want to make this a rewarding experience for you. They receive specialized advanced training and are available to help before, during, and after your baby is born. Their knowledge, skill, and support can help you and your family prepare for its newest member.
