Ambulance Department OverviewThe ambulance department of the Royal Medical Services with its counterpart at Salmaniya Medical Center offers advance pre-hospital emergency medical care as part of its nation wide integrated public services available free of charge to the kingdom’s entire population.
The ambulance department of the Royal Medical Services primarily concentrates on servicing the needs of the population in the defined southern half of the kingdom due to its proximity to the accident and emergency services based at the Royal Medical Services hospital. The services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are ready to respond to any disaster or calamity natural or manmade. Department Mission(PEACE TIME)
(WAR AND DISASTER) To provide an emergency and pre-hospital emergency care and to support the BDF and share in any type of contingency plans for the entire Kingdom of Bahrain in accordance to the BDF Royal Medical Services Disaster Plan Manual and as order by the headquarters.
