It gives us great pleasure to announce that Royal Medical Services has been accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). The hospital scored highly in five major components; Patient care, Access to care, Education and Training, Management & Costing and Hospital maintenance & Safety. We had this remarkable achievement with the combined effort and stellar work from everyone at all levels of the Royal Medical Services.
What Our Success Means:
Our success means great things for Royal Medical Services in general and patients in particular.
First, our "ACHS" Accreditation is a visible demonstration of many performance improvements that result in improved patient care and quality. Looking across the organization, there are many outstanding examples of how we are doing things better now. That is such a great thing and great reason to celebrate!
Second, our "ACHS" Accreditation preparation experience over the past few months has taught us to work together as a team. We communicated with each other effectively. We crossed departmental boundaries to bring insight and progress to many of the ACHS initiatives. We must continue to communicate and work together as a family to improve our Royal Medical Services for our patients.In order to maintain the accreditation standards, we must implement all the policies and procedures written during the past months. Also, we must continue to educate all staff on all policies, procedures, patient rights, safety, quality improvement, infection control and information management.

The BDFRMS website is an online window to the hospital and an extension of the health care services of the hospital. It is not only provides information about the hospital and the services it offers offline, but also has online services such as Online Appointment [online booking for appointments], Doctors Directory [searching for doctors], e-Recruitment System [applying for jobs] and a guide for patients and visitors before visiting the hospital.
