Under the patronage of His Excellency Lt. Gen. (Dr.) Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, the accreditation receiving event was held on 5th April 2018 at Royal Medical Services. Royal Medical Services is the first public hospital in the Kingdom of Bahrain to receive the 98% certificate of credit from the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) and obtaining the Accreditation Canada certification in Trauma. To obtain such a certificate, indicates the development of health services and providing all the material and educational resources to develop the services provided by the military hospital at the level of the health sector.

This achievement comes in line with the plans prepared by the Supreme Administrative Committee of The Royal Medical Services under the chairmanship of Maj. Gen. (Prof.) Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa and the continuation of many other certifications and credits obtained before by the military hospital. The patron of the ceremony praised the military hospital's high level of medical services in which international hospitals competed and talked about the access of Royal Medical Services to such certifications. He said that obtaining such accreditation from recognized medical committees and bodies enhances the health status of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Mariam Al-Jahlama, the Chief Executive Officer of NHRA, praised the services provided by the military hospital and said that the military hospital has received the highest assessment rate of 98%, indicating the keenness of its supervisors to follow up all health and administrative matters.

At the end of the ceremony, H.E. Lt. Gen. (Dr.) Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and Maj. Gen. (Prof.) Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services, received the Canadian accreditation certificate from Mrs. Katrina Tarsova, Executive Director of the Canadian Society of Injuries and the certificate of accreditation from Dr. Maryam Al-Jahlama, C.E.O of NHRA.

The Commander of the Royal Medical Services thanked the sponsor of the ceremony for his kindness and honor by receiving these certificates. The ceremony was also attended by several officials of the Bahrain Defense Force and the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
