Author(s)

Al Mudahki. J, Ganguly K K

Stillman’s cleft is a mucogingival triangular shaped defect, commonly observed on the buccal orlabial surface of the gingiva.

The etiology behind this lesion is believed to be multifactorial andunclear. The prognosis of Stillman’s cleft varies depending on the extent of the cleft; some lesions mayrepair spontaneously while others require precise examination and evaluation to provide the propermanagement.

This paper reports a case of a patient with Stillman’s cleft that was treated by free gingivalgrafting.
